Grasshopper

Hey there,

Hope everyone is doing well out there. Been having a lot going on in my life and not a lot of time for some of the things I would like to do. Still trying to thing of some new and cool things that I could maybe do to the site. Make it a little more interactive. If you have any ideas, please let me know!

This picture is from awhile back. I had forgotten to post it along with some others. I have a lot of others from this day and need to go through them and pick out which ones I would like to post. This picture is one of many grasshoppers I had found in my backyard one day. The scientific name for these is eastern lubber grasshopper.

I used my iPhone 5 with the Ollo Clip macro lens.

grasshopper , ollo clip , macro

Have a great day!

Your pictures are taking an extremely long time to show up. The reason is because they are huge in terms of file size but your blog only allows them to show up at a maximum of 613 pixels wide. So what you are doing is uploading a huge file, wich takes precious time and WordPress storage space, and then forcing WordPress to resize the picture to show it in your blog. You can save time, storage space, and reader aggravation by resizing your pictures before uploading them. Resize them to 613 pixels wide and you’ll find that they are probably 100 KB instead of 500,000 KB, taking much less time to upload and showing up on your blog posts instantaneously. You’ll probably get more likes because people will stick around after the pictures load (instantaneously!) to click the LIKE button.

I’m with jbcamera. I’ve seen lots of great iPhone shots, but not macro shots. I’m very, very impressed.

Wow! What a great shot. Did not realize a phone could take such quality photos.
