Shots of Espresso

Posted by on Mar 21, 2013 in Photos | 8 Comments

So recently I have been into a kick of making Cuban coffees and that involves making shots of espresso. You brew some espresso and take part of it and mix it in with sugar. You then whip the sugar and espresso together. Once you get the right consistency, you add the rest of the espresso in with the whip. There is normally ratios used by people, but I kind of do it as I go. This has been a thing Ive been doing for me and my co workers on Fridays.

Anyways, I had just finished brewing some espresso and I was about to toss out the grounds when I thought it could be an interesting picture. Here is what I got.

Espresso Shot

The crazy part about this picture is how much it looks like regular grounds when it is actually finely ground espresso.

Please share if you like!

That’s pretty cool! I need a good macro lense for my camera. I love looking at daily life – like a cup of coffee – in a new way! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

Hi Ryan, thank you for liking my blog. I am pretty new to blogging too even though it’s been months. If you like espresso with sugar, you should try Turkish coffee. It is made with roasted and then finely ground coffee bean but so fine that it looks like flour. It is boiled in a pot (cezve), usually with sugar, and served in a cup as small as an espresso cup. But the difference is it has to have a lot of foam on it to be accepted as a good one.. :)

I have recently heard of Turkish coffee, but Ive never had one. Would love to try one! I love a good strong coffee. I hope to try one soon.

Mmm. Sounds tasty. I like a bucketload of coffee in the morning, but I think a shot of this sugary treat in the afternoon sounds nice. Good energy hit.

I have normally been drinking one of these in the morning, but they are also great as a kind of after dinner desert.

Hello Ryan…thank you visiting…besides looking like regular coffee it is definitly an interesting photo! I love coffee but my body doesn’t so no caffeine…don’t think espresso would work for me! :) Heather

If your body does not like coffee then I definitely would not touch espresso lol.

      Thanks for stopping by!
